Inside out(side)...

Hi ladies!
Mid terms are next week... Please pray that I do well! Then after that its FINALLY Christmas break. And Christmas. Words do not describe how much I love Christmas. I love the warm jolly feeling, and the merry-ness that always goes around. It's by far my favorite holiday. It snowed the other day in Texas and I had to wear multiple layers, which is a first. So I thought I'd show you what I wear when it's freaking freezing outside and how it would look when I go inside to an area with heat.
This is what I look like outside. I have my puffy jacket on, a thick scarf to keep my neck warm and these boots that have a rubbery sole so I won't slip on the ice. To keep my feet even warmer I have some socks peeking out of them. I'm also wearing a headband, mines not but is recommend one that covers your ears. I also wore my new Nike leggings that are lined with fleece on the inside to keep my legs from freezing and falling off.
Headband: charming Charlie's
Scarf: old navy
Puffy jacket: the northface
Leggings: Nike
Purse: rebecca minkoff
Socks: target
Boots: justfab

Now say I walk inside a mall, store, or restaurant and it's obviously not going to be freezing soooo costume change! Not really I just took off my jacket and scarf.
Ta-da! Here's my outfit I would wear inside. Takes the look from "I'm a freezing pink Eskimo" to a cute outfit.

3 ways to style a black skater skirt

Still snowed in ladies...
3 days in this house with no outside contact (well besides the Internet) may or may not be driving me a little crazy. Anyways a skater a skirt is an essential these days in everyone's closet. I think they're so flattering for pear body shapes because they fit nice and snug on the smallest part of your body then flares out. I think they're so girly and fun and very versatile. I have two casual outfits and one one semi dressy one featuring some of the stuff I got on Black Friday!
Outfit #1: I paired my black circle skirt with this adorable lace crop top I bought this summer. I like how I didn't have to tuck it in and it was a great way to incorporate my summer pieces into the fall. I added an oversize cardigan, some pink lace booties, and a pretty scarf to tie the whole look together
Skirt: TJ Maxx
Top: local boutique (maybe Francesca's?)
Cardigan: Pacsun
Scarf: nordstroms(?)
Boots: Steve Madden

Outfit # 2: this I basically the same as the first outfit I just wanted to show y'all how different this can look by just switching up a few pieces.
Skirt: TJ Maxx
Top: local boutique
Scarf: old navy
Cardigan: hollister
Boots: Steve Madden

Outfit # 3: this is a little dressier but still fairly casual. I love how girly and classic this outfit is. I paired the skirt with a simple blouse, a pretty necklace, and some ballet flats.
Top: jcrew factory
Skirt: TJ Maxx
Flats: tory burch
Necklace: forever 21

Black Friday haul 2013!

Happy weekend ladies!
This Friday something happened that rarely happens here in hot ol'Texas.. It snowed!! Not just a little slush on the ground here and there I'm talking about solid ice everywhere to the point where nobody can drive and they canceled school. So I didn't have to go to school Friday which was pretty nice because I have one week until finals and I needed an extra day to study BADLY. I promised ya'll a Black Friday haul over a week ago, I know I'm a bad person I'm just really busy and frankly kind of overwhelmed. Anyways ill just get into the things I bought... (By the way some of these things may be Christmas presents, we don't know yet, but ill show them to you for now.)
If you read my last post on Black Friday then you saw the order I went to the stores so that's the order I'm going to show y'all clothes in because I figure that it makes more sense that way. We started out journey in sports authority Thursday night and I picked up these leggings. I got a pair of jcrew pixie pants last Friday and wore the death out of them. I'm talking like the zipper broke, I got them fixed, and I still wear them because there just so nice and thick. The only thing is those are more "pant" ish leggings if that makes any sense and they really suck you in while still being comfortable. I wanted a pair of leggings that I could wear with cute outfits and workout in that would be slightly warmer and not as structured if you get what I'm saying. And I wanted a pair of lulu lemon wunder under brushed leggings in the worst way and I was going to get a pair for Christmas but I just couldn't justify having my parents spend $100 on a pair of leggings. I was finally going to cave in until I saw these by Nike. The Nike pro combat line of thier spandex is my absolute favorite. I have like 6 pairs that I wear to volleyball pretty much every time so I know that this line fits really well. I saw these for 25% off and they're the pro combat hyper warm pants by Nike. The inside is a warm fleece material unlike the j crew ones so they'll keep you extra warm. They're really comfortable and don't have a zipper or anything so you don't feel restricted at all. What I liked about the lulu lemon brushed pants was the layer of fleece inside of them so I was really glad to find these in sports authority. They were about $37 and I got a size xs.
Then old navy was 50% off everything and they had some really cute clothes lately (I did a blog on that). So I had to run in and pick some things up. The first I got was this hot pink top that looks exactly like a j crew popover. The material is not as nice but it stills feel really well made. It's the perfect blouse to tuck into skirts, layer, or pair with scarves and necklaces. This was $30 with %50 so $15 and I got a size xs.
I've been wanting an army/military jacket for the longest time since like October. Even though these totally aren't my style I just were really into them. I did NOT want a green one however and I was about to buy the $40 grey one from target when I spotted this in old navy. For only $20 with the half off I scooped it up immedietly. It's a gorgeous grey shade and I think it's a fun jacket to play around with for the season. I also got a giant pink circle knitted scarf for $8 at old navy as well but it is currently in the wash but u saw it if u saw my Black Friday sneak peak picture.
Macy's was having a clearance on a bunch of the BCBG bracelets so I picked one up because I love wearing these to stack. I liked how this one looked kind of tweed ish and it was on sale for only $9. It's like one of thier bracelets with the writing and it's a purply pastel pink shade.
The juicy couture outlet was the next place I went to and I got this puffy jacket. They were 50% off everything so I ended up getting this for $120. I don't know if I'm going to keep this yet because I did get some other puffy jackets that I might like better but I don't know. What do y'all think? I feel like it's border line cute and borderline jcpenny looking.

I also picked up a pave bracelet as well. I just really liked the simplicity with a little added sparkle.
This wasn't at the juicy outlet but at the actual juicy store. I got a purse charm for my charm bracelet! How cute is that?!
Pacsun outlet was having 40% off everything. And I've been wanting a brandy melville cardigan for FOREVER. And this one was literally the exact thing! I know pacsun sells brandy so I did try on the actual one earlier but this one was $40 with 40% off. I got a size L so it would be super oversized and I'm so excited about this cardigan!
I actually ordered this off of the Jcrew factory website but I thought I'd include it with all the other outlet purchases. It's this beautiful bubblegum long sleeve pink blouse. It's got a high neckline and just fits perfectly. It was 50% off so I got it for $40 in a size xxs.
Like I mentioned earlier about the Nike pro combat spandex they are my absolute favorite. They are normally around $25 but 20% off so I got a fun pink pair that were always sold out in my size.
After our outlet adventure we went to another big mall and American apparel was having 20% off everything! I've been wanting some of thier bottoms but couldn't justify spending $80+ on them. I got a pair of thier high waisted shorts in this black wash in the size 24/25. I love how high waisted these are. They are so cute and I decided to just get them now and save them for summer.
Annnnnd I got a pair of high waisted jeans!! Yay! I finally purchased them. I had been wanting them for so long. They are so high waisted and so flattering on my body type. I got a size xs and they fit perfectly. They're super stretchy and comfortable.
I also picked up the northface thermoball jacket in the hot pink color. It wasn't on sale but I needed it for the winter.
