5 calorie Chai tea latte recipe

I swear starbucks makes most of there money during the fall time. The number of pictures, posts, and tweets about pumpkin spice and chai tea lattes is actually overwhelming. Because why wouldn't you want to be the common girl and take Instagram pictures with a hot starbucks drink with the "fall" caption in the middle of August? I can kind of see the whole fall starbucks obsession thing. I get it, the weather gets chillier and nothing is better then a nice warm drink. I'd personally prefer my warm drinks minus all the calories and sugar though. So I decided to experiment and make my own version! And the best part? It's like 5 calories and delicious!
Starting off take a mug and fill it half way with water. You can add more or less water depending on how strong/creamy you want your latte. If you want it super sugary and creamy then you can take it out this step completely.
Then take some cinnamon and dump as much in as you'd like. I love cinnamon so I put in a generous amount.
Now, you want to make sure it's mixed in so take a coffee stirrer and stir until the cinnamon is dissolved in the water.
Once you've done that it should look something like this. Now add your sugar free chai tea latte concentrate. I LOVE this stuff! I add it to coffee too. You can find it at any grocery store or target.
I like to fill mine until the mug is about 90% full.
Now add your almond milk. I can not even begin to explain my love of almond milk. Only 30 calories per cup?! Amazing! And this Almond Breeze brand tastes so much better then the other kind. You literally just add a tiny splash in.
Now microwave until its hot (30-40 seconds) and enjoy! Guilt free and delicious!!

Outfit of the night: shifty birthday dinner

Happy Friday!
I have had one exhausting week! I got with strep throat and a sinus infection yesterday and have been feeling under the weather since. But nothing could stop me from an excuse to dress up. My friend's birthday was on Wednesday and so me and a couple of my close girlfriends decided to go out and celebrate. It was so much fun just having a dinner with my girls and gossiping about whatever. Our first dinner reservations got double booked so we ended up at the Cheesecake Factory instead. We were a little dressed up for the Cheesecake Factory but we didn't really are. I got the grilled shrimp with a side of broccoli and it was delicious!
The birthday girl! Sorry it's so blurry.
I used to hate the way shift dresses looked on people but lately they've been really in. I love how dressy but simple this dress is with the chiffon and single shoulder.
I'm especially glad that the sleeve of this dress isn't a bell sleeve because a lot of single sleeves shift dresses I've been seeing have had bell sleeves which personally I'm not a fan of.

Fall in love TAG

Fall is fast approaching and I can't say I'm super excited. I am a girl who loves 100 degree weather and cold watermelon. But it's no good to sit around and complain about something I can't change unless I suddenly become Mother Nature. (which I don't believe will happen anytime soon.) So I might as well make the best of it. I saw this tag on beyondbeautystar's youtube channel and I thought I'd do it blog-style!

1. What fall trend are you most excited for? This isn't necessarily a trend but something that comes around every fall and it's scarves and boots. I love scarves and my collection is pretty excessive. I think they add so much to any outfit and they're so easy to throw on over anything and instantly look more chic and fashionable. I also love boots. I'm so excited to peak socks out of ankle boots and look super layered. As far as an actual fall "trend" I'm super excited for high waisted pants. I wasn't around when they were in style back then but I loved the high-waisted trend that was super big this summer. On my body type it was way more flattering because it emphasized my smaller waist. I think high waisted jeans look so cute but they have to be ones that are super high waisted. Kimonos are another item I'm so excited for! This summer I was all about the loose over sized, baggy cardigans but kimonos are more sheer and usually floral and I think they give like a more whimsical feel. I can't wait to get my hands on some and start styling them.
2. What is your favorite fall beauty product? I don't really change up my makeup routine for specific seasons. I'm not a big fan of red lips or dark lips and I don't wear eyeshadow either. Once I've found beauty products I like I tend to stick with them until I find something better. I'll do a makeup routine video if that is something y'all would like.

3. What is your favorite fall drink? Hands down chai tea lattes. I make them myself with sugar free chai tea latte base, cinnamon, almond milk, and water so they're literally like probably 5 calories or less per cup. I like putting extra cinnamon in mine and they're delicious.

4. What is your favorite fall scent? I'm guessing this is for candles and my favorite is from bath and body works and it's the pumpkin caramel latte. When fall rolls around this scent is the only one I have burned for the past 3 years. It smells so warm and sweet and delicious. I'm so obsessed with it so if your ever in bath and body works go in and smell it.

5. Which fall trend do you hate? I could go on and on about all the fashion trends that I'm not the biggest fan of but the ones that really stand out this fall are the trend of tying a flannel around your waist. I think that just looks so tacky and just gross. I'm also not loving the whole military trend. I know it's been in for a while now but I feel like it's almost getting to extreme. Everything is like army green and camo printed and even though I think it can be pulled off I'm over it. Creepers are also something I hope leave as fast as they came. I do not like how these shoes look. They're just not my style whatsoever.

6. What is your Halloween costume this year? I'm not 100% sure but I really want to be a Barbie this year. I saw this really cute thing on pinterest and you cut out boxes and dress up as Barbie. I think it's such a cute and idea and that's what I really want to be.

7. What is your favorite fall song? I don't really associate specific songs to specific seasons so I guess just whatever songs I've been liking recently. I've been really liking royals by Lorde and Roar by Katy perry but my favorite music changes frequently.

8. Favorite Halloween candy? I'm not a big candy person but when I was little I was always really excited to get twix bars when I went trick or treating. Now, I would much rather have an apple then candy.

Accessories of the week(s) #2! + update

Guess what today is? HUMP day! I love that commercial! Anyways sorry I've been missing for so long. It's really difficult for me to out these posts up because I don't have a set area for me to take pictures. But don't worry I am working on setting one up this weekend. Today's post is another accessories of the week. These may be slightly repetitive so ill try to combine weeks and give y'all little life updates throughout the post!
Monday was a dark, almost purple like pink. I just love Mondays! Said no one ever. This nail polish sucks! I put it on Sunday night and it chipped the next day! (Why I'm covering my index finger) and just in case you were wondering the navy plaid you see in these posts sometimes is my school uniform skirt pattern.

Tuesday I had a volleyball game right after school so I didn't quite have time to take as cute pictures. But y'all get the gist right? I pulled out my old favorite nailpolish that I used to wear literally every day in middle school. It's a metallic pink color which is a fairly unique and hard to find color. Being a high-school athlete is a lot harder then I thought it would be. I can see how colleges favor students involved in extra curricular activities. The volleyball season has really taught me how to manage my time.

Somedays you just need a little hot pink. This was last Wednesday and I needed a little push for the middle of the week. Has anyone ever tried Sinful Colors nailpolishes?! They're $1.99 and this one worked just as well as any others I'd ever tried. Some of my friends think I'm crazy for painting my nails a different color every day and doing different shades of pink accessories but if your not different, who's going to remember you right?

Wednesday night I had absolutely no time to reprint my nails so I just added a sparkly top coat over them. I went for kinda a hot pink with sparkles theme that day. I also had two tests and a quiz that day so I needed something to cheer me up. I've been loving wearing my watch because a lot of my classes don't have clocks (weird, right?) and were not always allowed to have our laptops out.

Headband- nordstroms(?) or maybe Francesca's
This was this Monday's accessories. (Is this starting to get confusing?) whatever it doesn't matter what day I wore which! I bought a new nail polish by maybelline and it went on so smoothly and cream-like! It was super opaque and everyone thought my nails were gel. And I got a new bracelet! It's beaded and really cute. It was actually a gift from my "big sis" for volleyball. Does your school do this where in sports the upperclass men choose a "little sis" and y'all exchange little gifts each game day? My school does and this was one of the things my big sis got me. She knows me so well!

Accessories haul!

Happy Thursday girls!
How happy are y'all that tomorrow is Friday?! I know I'm super excited. If you saw my post about how to dress up your school uniform you saw that the only way I can personalize my outfits 5/7 days of the week are by accessories. So of course I had to pick up some more!
Before I was never one for headbands but I think they look so cute with the uniform and they make me feel so Blair Waldorfish. Is that weird? All of them are from a local boutique except the bottom one which is from forever 21. I'm not quite sure about the ones with the flowers because I feel like they might look kind of odd but I'm not sure yet!
I had been wanting a sideways cross necklace since the beginning of last summer but then everyone started getting them so I never ended up getting one but when I saw a pink one on sale I basically died, after I ran to the cashier and bought it of course. Then I fell in love with these faux leather bow bracelets. They're a little more statementy then the other bracelets I wear which I really like. All of these are from a local boutique.
My absolute favorite type of bracelets to stack are friendship bracelets. These were on sale at 6 for $10 so I snatched up a couple. I like these because they don't budge on your wrist and they're fairly small so you can stack a large amount.

Y'all will be seeing all of these in upcoming accessories of the week posts so stay tuned! Xxx Girl with the Pink Bow
