My Black Friday...

Black Friday=OVER. Not quite sure if I am happy or sad about it. The fact that the only holiday of the whole year dedicated to shopping is over now is semi depressing. But now I'm looking at all the beauty I got and it's making me super happy!
The aftermath...
Jcrew!
My first purchase from the outlet.
And I obviously had to refill with potbelly! I'm obsessed...

My family and I ate dinner on thursday at like 4:45 then left the house at 5:30 to go to sports authority, which by the way was having awful deals, then we went to old navy (50% off everything!!), then Macy's, then the outlet malls and ended up getting home at around 1:30. We then went to bed, woke up at 6:00AM Friday and headed to the big mall which opened at 7. We didn't get home until about 4 in the evening and I'm EXHAUSTED. The deals actually were pretty good this year and I found some things that I really really liked! It was packed, and the lines were pretty long, but it wasn't the stereo-typical pushing and shoving and grabbing that Black Friday is typically labeled as. It was however a whole lot of walking. The whole time I got to sit down maybe like three times so my feel did get pretty tired just from walking. Ill show ya'll what I got next post but here's a little sneak peak.

Thankful for....

Happy late thanksgiving! Sorry I'm a little late on this post but I figured better late then never right? So far I've only talked about thanksgiving as the day before Black Friday and all the great sales that go on Thursday night but thanksgiving really is about what it's name implies- being thankful. It's a day that you should spend having fun with your family, no matter if its your whole entire, humongous extended family or if its just you and your parents (like in my case). Take the time each thanksgiving or frankly every holiday to put away your phone, twitter, pinterest, IG, and just bond with your family. Help whoever's cooking in the kitchen with whatever your family may be eating. We have a turkey each year with our own spin on thanksgiving side: roasted veggies, green beans, turkey, my dad has steak, and baked apples for dessert. But if your family doesn't do the classic thanksgiving dinner that's fine. But try to make it a point to do something special that day like a bigger, planned dinner with all the silverware and maybe in the actual dining room. Stick to old traditions but make new ones to. And don't forget to thank and be thankful for everything you have in your life and express that gratitude to whomever it may concern!
This year I am thankful for my parents, which complete all 3 people of my cozy little family. I want to thank them for always being supportive in everything I do. And for always leading my in the right direction but letting me make and learn from my own mistakes. For working their butt offs so I don't have to, for their unconditional love even though I defitnetly don't deserve most days. For putting up with me and showing me right from wrong. I love them so much. I am also thankful for coming closer to my faith this year. For going to church more frequently and seeing all the positive impacts that God has made in my life. I am thankful for all my friends for always having my back and brightening my day. I'm thankful for all the laughter and happiness that I have encountered this year and for every moment, whether it made me cry or laugh, that has made me into who I am today. Lastly I am thankful a beautiful, pleasant past and for a future, and whatever it may bring.
Happy thanksgiving ladies! Xxx Girl with the Pink Bow

Black Friday, grey Thursday, even lighter grey Wednesday?!

Happy almost thanksgiving!!
I hope all of you guys are enjoying your break off of school and taking this time to cuddle up and drink cinnamon lattes. And shop of course because life is just better with shopping. I was so surprised to see that pretty much every clothing store today at the mall was having Black Friday deals SUPER early. Like I've heard of grey Thursday and stuff and I've always gone Thursday night but starting sales on Wednesday?! That's a little weird to me. I don't know I guess I like being able to shop early but it also kind of ruins the excitement of the whole "black Friday" atmosphere. Most of the clothing stores were having the deals today that they would be having on Friday so if you want to go and grab some stuff before other people get it I'd go today or tomorrow! I'm not sure how the real "early bird" department store or something like that deals work because we've never gone for appliances and stuff but I don't think I noticed those on sale yet. I got a few things today on a really good deal that I wanted to share with ya'll.

This pair of boots I'm just going to mention first since I didn't get them today. I actually ordered them from the Steve Madden store because they didn't carry this pink color in stores. These are the Steve Madden thundr c boots in pink. I mentioned these in a wish list this summer and I finally bought them! They are just the perfect boot that will go with everything so I think that they were a great buy. They retail for $99.99 but I got 30% off but since I had to get them shipped they charged me $8 for shipping. So I ended up paying around $80 for these so they were kind of a splurge but so worth it!
At J crew factory my mom and I both actually bought this gorgeous top. It's a more boxy ish structured top (if that even makes any sense) in this dusty rose color. The sleeves are about 3/4 length and it is lace throughout the whole top and on the back. It's a really nice well made piece that would look really cute with a scarf, leggings, and boots or in the summer with shorts and sandals. This was originally $88, marked to $50 then they were having 50% the whole store so I got is for only $25!! I would hit up j crew factory either in store on online because they're having 50% everything and it's a good chance to stock up!
Cotton on was having 40% everything and I love their basics so I got this open knit cardigan. I have it in a darker grey charcoal color and I LOVE the fit so I bought it in just a classic grey shade. It's a really lightweight cardigan, which is fine because I can wear year round. I love the way these fit I get them in a medium to be a more relaxed fit but these are so slouchy anyways that it really doesn't matter what size you get. This retails for $25 with 40% so around $15.
Okay I know I said old navy had an amazing piko top dupe but I have found the ultimate piko replica! And it was only $15 with 40% off. From Cotton On again, in grey again. Cotton on doesnt necessarily have the brightest most fun colors so I stuck with the nice neutral grey. This top is so soft and so similar to the piko top fit. It's got the fitted sleeves and then the long, super loose, boxy body. It's perfect to layer or wear with leggings. If I see more colors I like I'll defitnetly be picking up more! I got a size xs.
Also I wanted to let you guys know about some amazing deals I saw that ya'll might want to check out in store!
J crew factory: 50% everything
J crew: 40% off everything
Express: 50% off everything
Hollister: 40% everything
Abercrombie: 40% everything
American eagle: 40% everything
LOFT: 40% everything
Kate spade: secret sale select items up to 75% off
And these aren't that great of deals but in case you wanted to know:
Pacsun: BOGO 50%
Victoria secret: $25 hoodies Friday only (I don't recommend buying these the quality of them is really bad and way worse then thier normal hoodies)

Any other good deals?! Xxx Girl with the Pink Bow

Burberry scarf....

Hi ladies,
Currently I am in school, on the last day before thanksgiving break, bored out of my mind. And online shopping because lets be honest here when do I not online shop? Anyways lately I have been OBSESSED(to say the least) with pink burberry scarves. These scarves were at first not really my style just because although I thought the classic camel pattern was pretty elegant and sophisticated I just don't really wear those colors. And so I never really wanted to spend $300 on a brown and red scarf. Then I started really liking the look of them and I saw all the colors that they came in. I spotted the pink ones, and well you can probably guess how it went from there. I just think that they look so classy and elegant. They go with everything and are so soft and warm. I feel like it's just a really timeless piece that will just make me happy to look at and actually keep me warm. So hopefully I can find one on sale or maybe get it for Christmas because they are absolutely gorgeous. I literally have just been staring at them on pinterest for the past few days.

Are they perfect or are they perfect?! What do you guys think? Xxx Girl with the Pink Bow

Old Navy has cute clothes?!

Yesterday, I was in Trader Joe's and needed black jeans to wear today for our dress down day that we have once a semester. Basically we don't have to wear our uniform and we get to wear jeans a t shirt. So we were going to run into Target afterwards to pick up another pair of black jeans from there because I had just bought some there that had snagged. Old Navy just so happened to be next Trader Joe's so I was like "hey, why don't we take a look in there." We did and I was blown away by what they had. I had never really been to Old Navy more then once or twice; I always thought that it was kind of weird, tacky store. But I went in yesterday and I was really pleasantly surprised. Some of it was still kind of ehh but there were a lot of pieces that I loved. I ended up trying on a few pieces and really liked the fit and feel of them.
The Long Sleeve Crepe Blouse in Fuschia
This blouse is so nice and gorgeous. It reminds of the jcrew popovers. I tried on the XS and it fit pretty oversize so I believe that these are meant to be a little looser like the popovers. On the website it says that they are $25 but yesterday, they were selling them for $19. I totally almost got it yesterday but my mom made a good point that this will probably be really discounted on black friday.
Long sleeve tunic tee in white
This top reminds of the Piko tops so much! I own one and I am obsessed with it. It's so soft and the tight arm and loose body fit is so comfortable to wear with basically everything. On the old navy sale rack I spotted this that looked just like it. They only had colors that I didn't really like in my size but online they do have a slightly bigger selection. They are only $15 as opposed to the $30+ Piko top price.
Old Navy rockstar jeans
This was the only thing I ended up buying. Only $19 and pretty comfortable! I don't think they're anything spectacular but I do like them and I think they were worth the price. I got a size 0 regular but I feel like I should've gotten a long because these are a little short.

Overall I'm really surprised with this store and will definitely be coming here on black Friday. Xxx Girl with the Pink Bow

How I organize my agenda!

Sorry I've been gone so long! School has been really busy lately.. but then again when is it not when your taking all Honors classes? And club volleyball just started, I decided to play last minute but that's a long story that I'd rather not get into. Anyways to keep myself organized I have to have an agenda. It is my KEY to organization and straight A+s. I did a DIY on a Lily Pulitzer agenda that I got earlier in August but it ended up just being way to big and heavy to use. I didn't like how much it weighed my backpack down even though I loved the print and the inside. I went to Office Depot on the second day of school and bought this white and pink agenda by At A Glance. I love how its white with pink accents. I think it's a nice break from all the pink that my other school supplies is. I decided to put the same bow monogram I put on my Lily agenda but in a smaller size.

My school does A and B days so my homework isn't due until the day after the next. I like to organize all my assignments by their subject. So what I'll do is write out the subject and underline it, then write the assignment down next to it. If I have more then one assignment per class I'll just make another dash and write the assignment directly under the other assignment in that class. I have four classes a day and I write my subjects down in order that I have them that day. I write my A day assignments on the A day and my B day subjects on the B day. For example if Monday was an A day I will write the homework my teachers gave me that day on the Monday section of the agenda even if its due on Wednesday.

If a teacher tells us about quizzes, test, projects, or anything that's not due next class I'll go to the day of the test/quiz or due date and write it down at the very top of the page, next to the date, and write it down and bubble it to remind me. The class before, I'll also write it down under my assignments for that subject to "study" or "finish the project". Once I have finished an assignment, I'll highlight it, including the subject so I don't get what I have and haven't done mixed up. Even if I finish my homework in class I still write and highlight it to make me feel like I'm ahead of the game. It's weird but the feeling of highlighting/crossing something off a checklist is really comforting!

How do y'all organize your agendas? Xxx Girl with the Pink Bow

Halloween Outfit

Well it's Sunday...
And last night I was at a Halloween party. It was interesting, to put it that way. Anyways I decided to go as a fairy because the Halloween store didn't have any of the other costumes I wanted. Serves me right for going after Halloween right? But the bright side of that is that everything was super discounted and my costume was literally $15! Yay for cheap costumes! And I faced my fear and ventured out to goodwill yesterday (after convincing my mom for a week), I found some pretty cool stuff. Ill share with ya'll later! Here's my  late Halloween outfit:

Dress and weeks: The Halloween store
Shoes: Tory burch
Flower crown: nordstroms BP

Happy November! Monthly goals+ possible Halloween costumes?

Happy November 1st!
How is it possible that it is already November?! That means that Thanksgiving is this month and then BLACK FRIDAY (whooohoo!). I love black friday, it's kind my mom and I's tradition. The deals aren't that great, but it's fun to go on the night of thanksgiving and stay up shopping until like noon the next day. Black friday is a holiday just for shopping. Of course I can't turn that down. Then, after Thanksgiving the Christmas season is starting. Christmas is my favorite time of the year MINUS the cold weather. I love how jolly and happy and festive it is all the time. I love the decorations and just the overall feel of Christmas. Only less then two months left till Christmas. That's seriously crazy. Anyways to celebrate November I made a few goals to try to stick two and accomplish this month.
1. Watch my mouth a little more. Obviously I don't have ugly language and my usual language doesn't involve a lot of cussing. But lately I have found myself cussing a little more and more everyday and I'm really not a fan of that. Not only cussing but just watching everything that comes out of my mouth like gossiping or spreading rumors.
2. Keep my room clean. I love having a clean room with all things organized and put up. I personally feel like I can't function when my room is out of control. It kind of makes me feel like my life is out of control.
3. Stay motivated in school. My super driven beginning of school motivation has begun to die down as the months have passed on. I need to keep my eyes on the prize and keep going.
This Saturday, I'm going to a Halloween party and I have no idea what to dress up as...

1. Miss Piggy

2. Daisy Duck

3. A Cupcake

4. A Bunny (basic, I know..)
I know Halloween costumes are a little late to be posting the day after Halloween but hey, maybe some of you guys have a Halloween party coming up as well. Annnnndddd since it's beginning to feel like sweater weather, I've been inspired to go thrifting for sweaters after watching some thrift store hauls on youtube. Thrift stores had always grossed me out but we'll see how it goes!

What are some of your November goals? Xxx Girl with the Pink Bow
