Over the past few years, Victoria Secret has become trendier and trendier. There undies, bras, swimsuits, yoga wear, scents, and active wear have become legendary from their famous VS Fashion Show they hold every year. Bra and panty shopping is every girl's favorite thing, it gives a confidence boost when your undergarments are pink and sparkly, even if nobody else will be seeing it. However, both Victoria Secret and their PINK branch can tend to be over priced. Some things are worth it, some are worth it on a steal, and some are just not worth it at all. From years of shopping at Victoria Secret these are my tips and tricks that I have found.
Bras: I personally love Victoria Secret and PINK's bras, unfortunately, the prettier and more sparkly, the higher the price can tend to hike up. Bras can be around $70-$80 which is just downright ridiculous and not worth it. But, for somebody with a small chest like me (thanks a lot asian genes), their pushup bras offer the best results and even just their normal bras are extremely comfortable. My number one trick to getting a good deal on their bras are to wait for their Semi- Annual sale which is typically during january and June. Bras are marked down from $80 to $15 which is a crazy great deal. Even the gorgeous, decorated bras are marked down and it's a great chance to stock up and replenish.
Underwear: Victoria Secret and PINK carry my staple bras and underwear. Every single bra and panty of mine is from Victoria secret or PINK. They typically offer their underwear on some type of deal. Normally it's a 5 for $25, which seems like a good deal until they do the 7 for $25. Which is a much better deal to wait for. They typically offer this deal fairly frequently, I would say like once a month, so it's worth the wait. When you get the 7 deal, each pair gets to around $3.60 each, which is a better deal than their clearance panties which start (key word start) from $3.99 each and are typically super picked over. But for 7 for $25 you can choose from their current, in season panty line from both VS and PINK. Individually they'll run you $10-$11 each without a deal, which to me is not worth it.
Swimsuits: Once summer rolls around, VS swimsuits are all the rage. Everybody loves and gets them, and tbh can you really blame them? They're great quality and are cut really nicely for your body. Sadly, they can hike up the prices. I mean like $60 just for a top. My advice? Wait for the semi-annual sale and take advantage of it. I typically buy my swimsuits for the year at the semi annual sale because they're marked down 50-80% off. I also order mine online because the color and size selection is much better.
Yoga/Activewear: Unless your talking about the VS pushup sports bra on a deal, I'd pass. The quality is not worth it even on a great sale and the full priced items are just ridiculously overpriced for the quality. They stretch out a crazy amount and wear to be super thin. The material is not a nice thick material, it's thin and kind of oddly fuzzy in a way. Looking for good activewear? Check out lululemon, it's pricey, but their key peices are worth it.
PINK loungewear: On a deal sweatshirts and sweat pants are worth it. They're super cozy, and cute but they are not the thick fleecy sweatpants. They're sweatshirts are also great to throw on for a lazy day and still look semi put together. Regularly they are kind of overpriced for what they are, but on a deal they're worth scooping up. The 2/$40 t-shirt or tank deals I'd pass on. That's $20 a shirt and they're really not that great quality. Everyone owns or has seen them, they look cheap, they're super thin, and I'm pretty sure you can find a better deal anywhere else for a fraction of the price.
Victoria secret has a semi annual sale twice a year, (hence the semi-annual), this is the time where all of their merchandise in on pretty much the best deals. I'd use these sales wisely and stock up. In store is hard to find everything your looking for because it is super picked over since it's so known. But, shop online, and if you don't like it, you cant return it to the store.

Store Steals: Introduction
It's not a secret that I love shopping. The mall has become a second home to me, and I know inside out. I'm also a sucker for getting things on a good deal. Not just crappy clothing that's insanely cheap, to me the best deals are the ones that you get something that you'll truly use over and over again, something that is worth the price you pay. Over the years, I have become very acquainted with many of my favorite stores, I find that there are generally some tips and tricks to getting the items you want at the best price. For each store, I have found some specific ways to save some money here and there. I will start posts labeled "store steals" going into detail each individual store and the best ways I have found to shop at each one of these. These are just tips that have helped me tremendously, and I wanted to share them with you. Because the best feeling is scoring a killer deal and getting a ton of use and wear out of it. Yeah, you can go buy $5 shirts and build a closet full of inexpensive items, but they won't last and look as nice. Why get inexpensive clothing items when you can get nicer, more expensive clothing at the same price? With clothing it's all about finding a balance. You don't want to overpay for what your getting, but you don't want to underpay for something that falls apart either. I hope you enjoy. Xxx Girl with the Pink Bow

Nails lately...
Recently, as you can probably tell by my lack of posts lately, I have been extremely busy battling the final stretch of school and rounding out my freshman year of high school. Therefore, sadly, my nails have been put on the back burner. It's been really easy for me to just get acrylics every two weeks and then get a fill, rather than paint my days every other day. For me, the money for acrylics is worth it when I am busy. Yes it is $30 every two weeks, but when you calculate the saved time and stress from doing nails and worrying about chipped nails then the price kind of balances out. So, for the time span of school it is well worth the money for me to get acrylics. I don't get the colored acrylic powder, I just get the normal acrylic and then have a normal nail polish painted over it. The nail polish on the fake nails doesn't chip and stays looking fresh for a really long time.
My favorite primer: Loreal Magic Lumi Primer
Dry skin has always been something that I have battled with. Especially in the winter, my dry skin has been even flakier and more patchy. The rough patchy skin seems to be emphasized under foundation, and I am always on struggling to achieve the perfect, dewy foundation look. When I first came across this primer from Loreal, I thought it was similar to Benefit High beam. A liquid-like, runny, thin, ultra shimmery highlighting product. However I was extremely surprised by the consistency of this product. It's not the least bit greasy, but glides on smoothly over any uneven texture, or dry skin. It is very glowy but not the least bit shimmery. It gives a moonlit type of glow but isn't opaque white enough to make your skin look gray and white. It gives my skin a perfect, dewy look and is great underneath any foundation. I typically use my fingers to apply it. It's not exactly a thick, cream primer but definitely not a clear gel primer either. I don't find that it makes my skin more oily and it really helps reduce my dry patches. It retails for around $11-15, which is extremely expensive for a loreal product, but is not as expensive as a high end product. Overall, I am head over heels in love with this primer and will for sure be repurchasing it once I run out.

Mothers Day and Rompers....
When I was younger I always wondered why there wasn't a children's day. There was a Mother's Day and a Father's Day but no children's day. But as I got older, I realized that all those other day are children's day. From the second we entered this world, our parents have devoted their whole lives to us. We become their whole number one priorities, us first, then themselves. Sometimes we may feel entitled to their unconditional love and take it for granted. Which is why there was a day dedicated to all the moms and dads out there. It's perfect how mothers day is in May, all the flowers are blooming and the fresh smell of the beginning of summer is lingering the air. The heat has not fully stricken yet and the sky is a bright airy blue. Mother nature seems to have made May the most beautiful month for all of her fellow moms. Every child's built in best friend and guide to help them up when they fall. The woman that has nurtured me from day one, help me grow into who I am today. My full time comedian and therapist. She deals with my tears and my laughter, when the road gets bumpy she only hangs on tighter. She has led me out of the dark holes I have fallen in, and has taught me how to crawl out of them myself. Most of all she's the one that is always by my side, encouraging me every step of the way. When the world screams "no" she's the one telling me yes. She deserves a mother's year, not just one little day.
This is what I wore on this beautiful day. We went shopping and watched a movie. The day consisted of peaceful gossiping and lots of giggles. Just a day for my mom to unwind and truly enjoy herself, something she never gets to do.
I paired this beautiful pink romper with a simple silver necklace. I love this romper because it's not over the top but has just enough detail with the lace. I typically have a typical time with rompers since I am fairly thin, sometimes they can just kind of hang off of me and make me look like there's even less to me. But this one didn't do that, it fit just the right way. It was super comfortable and breezy for a perfect mothers day.
